Poverty And Its Mentality

People say poverty is a sickness but I don't think so. I thinks its mentality is the illness.
I'l give a brief story to make you understand.

The Johnson family had lived from hand to mouth until the day mr Johnson got a job as a driver. He gets paid monthly and gets tips from his boss.
Mr Johnson knowing that he now has a naira note to call his own saved some money.
One day,he decided to buy 'new' second hand cloths for his wife and kid considering that they practically wear rags as cloths.

He got home with them and his wife took the cloths and kept them saying;
         "We will wear them when things get better besides they are original OK".

My question is "don't original things get worn or when will things get better?"

You are the master of you..Only you can redeem you.

Mr Johnson knows quite alright that he's poor,he's gotten the cure and he's taking the dose as it should be taken but Mrs Johnson still feels that they would be in that state for a very long time that's why she wants to keep wearing rags until someone magically hands her 100million naira. She didn't believe money would come for them to buy cloths again. That's the mentality.

Poverty mentality doesn't leave one as quick as poverty does. If you wear rags because you don't want to wear your new cloths yet or you walk bare footed because you don't want your new slippers to get old then you need to snap out of that mentality and start living.

You never know who's watching.
They say packaging matters.

Happy weekend.
